Our Grand Hall at the Priory Banquet facility has been named by the Knot magazine and website The Knot.com aa a "Best of the Knot" venue. This is the seventh consecutive year that the Grand Hall at the Priory has received this honor, which is generated by votes of readers of the popular wedding planning magazine and website.
Priory Hotel Wins National Award as Bike Friendly Business

The League of American Bicyclists has named the Priory Hospitality Group a Bronze Medal winner in the national "Bike Friendly Business" category. This award comes on the heels of the Priory Hotel being noted by Bike Pittsburgh as a regional "Bike Friendly" Business. The League of American Bicyclists, based in Washington, DC, is a national organization devoted to the promotion of bicycle ridership and safety, and advocacy for the creation of safer bicycling environments. The Priory Hospitality Group was so honored due to its investment into physical structures to promote bicycle riding among staff and hotel guests, including the installation of changing and showering facilities for employees, and the construction of bike shelters and racks on and off the property. The Priory also offers a range of bike repair tools, bike maps, and similar amenities for hotel guests.
"We're exceptionally gratified to receive this bronze award from the League of American Bicyclists," said Priory Hospitality Group Director of Operations John E. Graf. "It's a real testament to the commitment of our staff to implement the things we needed to in order to receive this designation. "

Our Grand Hall at the Priory was named one of Pittsburgh's Best Restaurants recently, coming in first place in the banquet facility category. The award is bestowed by vote of the readers of Pittsburgh Magazine. It is the second year in a row that the Grand Hall at the Priory has come in first in this category. The Pittsburgh Magazine "Best Restaurants" party is being held on June 4, 2012, at Heinz Field. The Grand Hall at the Priory is operated by General Manager Walter Czapliewicz, while the kitchen is helmed by Executive Chefs Mike Henney and Pete Phillipy.

McKinney is a real estate developer traveling the country promoting his "Survival to Thrival" project. which seeks to transition the homeless to productive lives. As part of his mission, McKinney traded his place at the "posh" Priory with a resident of a local shelter, David Aikens, who was extremely grateful for his night at our facility.
